Specialist – Infectious Diseases Physician
I commenced my career in Science, completing my Bachelor degree and PhD (Dept. of Microbiology) through the University of Melbourne. I then went on to complete my Medical degree through the same institution and my Advanced Training in Infectious Diseases at Austin Health, The Northern Hospital, and Barwon Health.
General and complex infections including Endocarditis, prosthetic infections, HIV, Hepatitis, Bairnsdale ulcer (M. ulcerans), and Clostridium difficile.
An empathetic and dedicated practice of infectious diseases, providing patients with an understanding of their disease in order to allow them to be involved in their own healthcare. Currently practicing both Infectious Diseases and General Medicine at Ballarat and Barwon Health, with a Lecturer appointment at Deakin University for the ongoing education of medical students. I also have a keen interest in ongoing clinically-relevant research with current projects at the Peter Doherty Institute in Melbourne and Barwon Health.
